The Statue & The Mask

This is the story of the Junipero Serra statue in Ventura, California. For 31 years the bronze image of Junipero Serra stood at the top of California street until one day it disappeared. Demonized up and down the state, one city was not going to stand idle and let the name of Serra be tarnished. This is also the origin story of Lepanto.
